2015 Staff

The 2015 Faculty:

  • Alfonso Gracia-Saz has been teaching at Mathcamp since 2004. He is a Lecturer at the University of Toronto. His mathematical interests include Math Education, Lie Groupoids and Lie Algebroids, and "Algebraic Differential Geometry."
  • Kevin Carde has been teaching at Mathcamp since 2011. He received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2014 and is now a Software Developer for Mathcamp. His mathematical interests include Algebraic Combinatorics, Cluster Algebras, and Complex Analysis.
  • Marisa Debowsky has been teaching at Mathcamp since 2006. She is the Program Director of Mathcamp. Her mathematical interests include Topological Graph Theory and Combinatorics.
  • Mark Krusemeyer has been teaching at Mathcamp since 1997. He is a Professor at Carleton College. His mathematical interests include Abstract Algebra, Combinatorics, Number Theory, and Problem Solving.
  • Mira Bernstein has been teaching at Mathcamp since 1997. She is on the Mathematical Sciences Advisory Board (and the faculty) of Proof School. Her mathematical interests include Algebraic Geometry, Mathematical Biology, and Information Theory.
  • Susan Durst has been teaching at Mathcamp since 2008. She is a Teaching Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Arizona. Her mathematical interests include Finitely-Generated Algebras, Combinatorics, and Logic. Visit Susan's website.

Generally Helpful Person:

  • Gloria Krusemeyer became the Generally Helpful Person at Mathcamp in 2012, after many summers as the volunteer. Campers will see her running craft projects, organizing dancing events, and using her engineering-oriented brain to solve real-world problems.

  • Anne Kinne is a Registered Nurse. This will be her third summer at Mathcamp!
