Our Staff
The 25–30 members of the Mathcamp staff each summer are educators and counselors who love mathematics, teaching, and working with talented students. Like campers, our staff members often return year after year.
- JCs are our camp counselors. They are college students, all alumni of the program, who serve as residential advisors and organize field trips and activities for the students (and keep camp running smoothly).
- Mentors have a combination counselor/instructor role. They are graduate students in pure and applied math who teach the majority of the courses at camp; they also live with the students, serve as residential advisors, and are woven into the fabric of dorm life.
- Faculty are long-time Mathcamp instructors who teach classes and serve as mentors for new teachers. Faculty live on campus and interact informally with students outside of the classroom.
The senior leadership of the program brings a combined 25+ years of experience at Mathcamp. Read more about the camp directors.
